ABOUT US

Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is a national key university directly administrated by the Ministry of Education of China and sponsored by Project 211 and Project 985. In September 2017, after approval by the State Council, DUT was selected into the university of the “Double First-Class” Initiative, category A, and in February 2022, DUT was approved as one of the "Double First-Class" universities of the second round.

Panjin Campus is cooperatively built by DUT and Panjin City, Liaoning Province, and the campus has been an important part of “One University, Two Cities (Dalian City and Panjin City), Three Campuses” of DUT university-running pattern. Our vision is to be an outstanding and inclusive international campus, characterised by excellence in education, research, and innovation, in support of "Double First-Class" construction of DUT. We have a great sense of responsibility and endeavors in the development of China as well as the revitalisation of Northeast China. We also aim to be Panjin City’s important talent training base, scientific and technological innovation base, and achievements transformation base. At present, the campus covers an area of 563,000 square meters and the construction area is 383,000 square meters. There are 325 staff of various types in Panjin Campus, among which there are 159 full-time teaching and research faculty, including 3 national talent title winners, 28 senior titles, 99 associate senior titles. We have 5769 students enrolled in the campus, 5,146 full-time undergraduates and 623 postgraduates.

A. Six-year fixed-term Professor

Job Requirements

(1) We invite outstanding applicants from academia with recognized achievements, international academic vision, capabilities for innovation and high potential to become principal investigators in the field.

(2) The applicants are preferably under age 42.

(3) The appointee shall set clear goals for the performance appraisal during the term of the contract (Please contact the department contact persons for more detailed evaluation standards at the end of the webpage).

Salary and Start-up package

(1) 500,000 Yuan RMB (about $69,000) pre-tax annual salary (not including academic bonus).

(2) 1008,000 Yuan RMB (about $139,000) of housing allowance (tax-exempt, including Panjin living allowance* from the government).

(3) 1,200,000 Yuan RMB (about $167,000) or 600,000 Yuan RMB (about $82,000) start-up funding.

(4) Funding for hiring six postdoctoral researchers.

(5) Fully furbished flat and amenities.

B. Six-year fixed-term Associate Professor

Job requirements

(1) The successful candidate will be expected to have influential research achievements in relevant fields, great potential for scientific innovation and breakthrough; and the applicants are preferably under age 37.

Salary and Start-up package

(1) 450,000 Yuan RMB (about $62,000) pre-tax annual salary (not including academic bonus).

(2) 808,000 Yuan RMB (about $111,600) of housing allowance (tax-exempt, including Panjin living allowance* from the government).

(3) 800,000 Yuan RMB (about $111,000) or 400,000 Yuan RMB (about $55,000) start-up funding.

(4) Funding for hiring six postdoctoral researchers.

(5) Fully furbished flat (available for 1 year lease) and amenities.

C. Three-year fixed-term Assistant Professor

Job requirements

(1) The successful candidate will be expected to have a relevant PhD degree; influential research achievements and a clear plan for future research.

(2) The applicants are preferably under age 34.

(3) The appointee shall set clear goals for the performance appraisal during the 3-year contract (Please contact the department contact persons for more detailed evaluation standards at the end of the webpage).

Remunerations and Benefits

(1) 300,000 Yuan RMB (about $41,000) pre-tax annual salary (not including research bonus and team performance bonus).

(2) 608,000 Yuan RMB (about $84,000) of housing allowance (tax-exempt, including Panjin living allowance* from the government).

(3) 100,000 Yuan RMB (about $13,905) or 50,000 Yuan RMB (about $6,900) start-up funding.
